A Tubby Todd Testimonial: And a Discount!

In November I shared on my instagram account a bit of our story around the earliest days of motherhood, detecting food sensitivities, and reclaiming the silky smooth skin of my tiny baby with the use of Tubby Todd products.

After three plus years of using Tubby Todd products it’s a joy to be able to partner alongside them, sharing our experience and honest sentiments. Having the opportunity to offer an affiliate link, providing you with a 15% discount 1/25-1/31, (and 10% discount anytime after), while earning a small income in return, is something I hold with deep gratitude. To be perfectly honest, promoting sales is far beyond my comfort zone. But sharing in the challenges and triumphs of life (especially motherhood), is something I value dearly. And with that, I hope that whether you find yourself in need or want of any products listed/linked in this post, you will find, if nothing more, encouragement and a friend.

Here’s a recap of what I shared on that post, and bit more.

It’s a story that began over Thanksgiving 2017. My parents house was warm with the ambient fire and the ovens and stove top heavily loaded with our favorite holiday dishes. At four months old, the girls were cozy in their winter sweaters, and never without a set of warm arms to hold them close.

After our feast, as we prepared the girls for bed, I began to notice a rash that was spreading from Lucy’s neck to her diaper. My first inclination was that she had simply been overheated.

We left her undressed to very lightly dressed for the days to follow to ensure she wasn’t getting too warm, and still the rash persisted.

After a few days I began to seek out other possibilities and answers. A visit to the pediatrician proved fruitless as my concerns of possible food reactions (through nursing) were dismissed as “unlikely”, and I was told, with the shrug of a shoulder, it was presumably a contact reaction that could be nearly impossible to detect. Disheartened though I was by the narrative I’d been given, I was all the more determined to find answers and solutions to help my little love.

For days I took pages of notes and tracked everything I ate and products we used, looking for any patterns of worsening or improved symptoms. Finally it was determined that maybe her issue could be corn related, seeing as I’ve been gluten free, there was far more corn in my diet than I was privy to. Upon immediately eliminating ALL corn, we watched with joyous astonishment, after weeks of discomfort, as her skin cleared completely within 48 hours.

After changing my diet to help heal my little nursling from the inside, I researched ways to restore her skin from the outside. A number of inspiring testimonials led me to invest in an all natural moisturizing a regiment by Tubby Todd which brought my little Lucy’s skin back to the buttery soft, baby perfection it had once been.

Since this first eye opening experience, we’ve encountered our share of food sensitivities and allergies (including Benadryl—yep, there’s corn in that too, YIKES!), but we carry with us the knowledge that we found in those earliest days, and often we are quick to detect the cause, and treat any skin irritation with our favorite Tubby Todd products.

And now, for three years and counting, we’ve been using Tubby Todd products. From bath time to moisturizing, sunscreening and brushing teeth, Tubby Todd is part of our everyday routine.

I myself have even enjoyed the luxuries of these clean and simple products. Just as soon as I got my hands on the Everyday Lotion, and felt how soft and silky it was on my babies skin, it seemed perfectly logical that my own skin would it enjoy it just the same. And so it did, and continues to serve as my everyday moisturizer. What’s more, during this pregnancy, I treated myself a couple of the Mama products and I feel altogether quite fancy and spoiled by my little regiment of a couple drops of oil on my growing belly and spritz or two of the floral Freshening Spray.

And waiting for the arrival of baby in early March, alongside our everyday regulars, I’ve got a tube of Sweet Cheeks Diaper Paste and little jar of Nipple Balm on standby.

I’ve sincerely enjoyed every product I’ve purchased from this small shop. I promise I wouldn’t waste a moment of your time if I felt otherwise. And while it would be within my nature, and certainly is a dream and desire to be able to make many of my own products from scratch, I am keenly aware of my limits in certain seasons, and for that reason I am very grateful to have found a company that matches my heart for using natural, clean ingredients and is made in the USA. I would encourage you, if aren’t already familiar, to spend a little time perusing their products and getting acquainted with the heart of the business.

In closing, I’ve provided a list of our tried true products (each purchased and used) with links attached. I hope you find this helpful in some way or another. And if you choose to shop through any of my links, I thank you dearly for your support, it really means a great deal to me!
